United Arab Emirates to South Africa visa requirements

No visa needed. UAE ordinary passport holders can visit South Africa visa-free for up to 90 days. United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holders are visa-exempt for South Africa. South Africa's Department of Home Affairs implemented visa-free status for UAE nationals on 15 August 2019 for holidays, conferencing and business-meeting visits, and the current DIRCO visa-exemption list keeps the UAE ordinary-passport stay at 90 days with no visa fee. There is no pre-issued visa validity period; each admission is assessed by the border officer and the visitor stamp controls the authorized stay. Official mission guidance says a passport should be valid for at least 30 days after the intended visit and have at least two unused blank passport pages, and travellers should be ready to show return/onward travel, accommodation, funds and purpose of visit if asked. No current DHA or DIRCO rule was found requiring UAE visa-exempt visitors to make a special declaration solely because a stay exceeds 30 days. South Africa has an ETA portal, but the current official ETA pages target travellers who need visitor-visa authorization and do not make a mandatory ETA or eVisa requirement for UAE ordinary passport holders making short visa-exempt visits.
