Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit VU?
UAE ordinary passport holders can travel to Vanuatu visa-free. On arrival you receive a free visitor permit that, for UAE nationals, allows a stay of up to 90 days, longer than the standard 30 days granted to most other nationalities. United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holders do not need a visa for short tourist visits to Vanuatu. The UAE is on Vanuatu's visa-exempt list, and immigration officers issue a free visitor permit on arrival. For UAE nationals the initial permit grants up to 90 days (most nationalities receive only 30 days). The permit can be extended in-country up to a maximum of 120 days from the date of entry by applying at the Department of Immigration in Port Vila before the current permit expires. No advance application, eVisa, or fee is required for the initial visa-free entry. Standard conditions apply: a passport valid at least six months beyond arrival, a confirmed return or onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds (around 40,000 VUV per month, roughly USD 325), and accommodation details. The visitor permit is for tourism, leisure, family visits, business meetings, or conferences only; no employment or paid work is permitted.
