Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit UZ?
UAE ordinary passport holders can travel to Uzbekistan visa-free for tourist stays of up to 30 days per visit. No visa or eVisa is required in advance. Holders of a United Arab Emirates ordinary passport do not need a visa for short tourist visits to Uzbekistan. Under a mutual visa-exemption arrangement that took effect on 15 January 2024 (building on a unilateral Uzbek exemption in place since 2019), UAE nationals holding ordinary, special, or mission passports may enter Uzbekistan without a visa and stay up to 30 days per visit. The passport should be valid for at least six months. Uzbekistan is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers simply present a valid passport at the port of entry; the previous requirement for an Uzbek e-visa no longer applies to UAE citizens. Visitors staying in unregistered private accommodation may need to observe local registration rules, though hotels handle this automatically.
