United Arab Emirates to Tanzania visa requirements

UAE ordinary passport holders need a visa for Tanzania. Tanzania lists UAE nationals as eligible for both online visa and visa on arrival, and the Immigration Department recommends using the online eVisa platform. The ordinary tourist visa is USD 50 and is valid for up to 90 days. Tanzania is not visa-free for United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holders. Tanzania Immigration lists the UAE among nationals eligible for both the online visa facility and visa on arrival, and its guidelines state that there are two visa options: applying online through the official Immigration Services website or obtaining a visa on arrival at an official entry point. The same guidelines recommend using the online visa platform, so the eVisa remains the preferred route, while visa on arrival remains a valid fallback. The prior entry overstated likely processing speed and overstated the multiple-entry route for UAE tourists. Tanzania's guidelines say online visa applications are processed within ten days. For tourism, applicants generally use the Ordinary Visa, which costs USD 50 and has validity up to 90 days. The USD 100 Multiple Visa exists and can be valid up to 12 months with a maximum stay of 90 days per visit, but Tanzania's guidelines reserve it for specific categories such as US citizens, non-resident directors, government/bilateral work, family-visit cases, and other cases approved by the Commissioner General; it should not be presented as the routine UAE tourist entitlement. Travelers need a passport valid at least 6 months, at least one unused visa page, a return ticket, and the relevant visa fee.
