Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit Türkiye?
No visa required. UAE ordinary passport holders can enter Türkiye visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holders are exempt from visas for short visits to Türkiye. Under the visa exemption (in force since the 2023-2024 liberalization confirmed by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Emirati nationals may stay for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism or business without applying for a visa or eVisa in advance. The Türkiye eVisa system is not applicable to UAE passport holders because they are fully visa-exempt. Travelers simply present a valid UAE passport at the border. The passport should be valid for at least 60 days beyond the intended 90-day stay (effectively about 6 months of validity is the safe practice), and travelers may be asked at entry to show a return/onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and sufficient funds. The 90/180 rule is cumulative: days spent in Türkiye across multiple trips count against the same 180-day window, so frequent travelers should track their total days. For stays beyond 90 days or for work, study, or residence, a separate visa or residence permit must be obtained.
