United Arab Emirates to Tajikistan visa requirements

UAE ordinary passport holders can enter Tajikistan visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism. No visa or e-visa is needed in advance. Since 1 January 2022, Tajikistan has granted visa-free entry of up to 30 days to citizens of the United Arab Emirates holding ordinary passports. UAE MoFA's Tajikistan page lists normal UAE passports as Visa Free for tourism for 30 days, while study, treatment, and work are not exempted. UAE MoFA's 2021 announcement and the Tajik Consulate General in Dubai also confirm pre-entry visa exemption for UAE nationals for stays of up to 30 days. Use this rule for short tourism/visit travel only; longer stays or non-tourism purposes may require an eVisa or standard visa. UAE MoFA says the passport must be valid for at least six months. No advance visa application, fee, or sponsor is required for the 30-day visa-free tourist stay. Two practical caveats apply: travelers staying beyond 10 working days should register with the local OVIR office, a step hotels often handle, and anyone visiting the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) needs a separate GBAO permit. Tajikistan's published eVisa fee table lists USD 20 for GBAO permission and USD 30 single-entry / USD 50 multiple-entry eVisa fees for travelers who need the eVisa route.
