Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit PL?
UAE ordinary passport holders can visit Poland visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Poland is in the Schengen Area, and the EU granted the UAE a full Schengen visa waiver. No ETIAS is required yet as of 31 May 2026 (expected Q4 2026). Poland is a member of the Schengen Area, and the United Arab Emirates holds a Schengen visa-waiver agreement with the EU (the UAE was the first Arab country to be granted this). Holders of an ordinary Emirati passport may therefore enter Poland and the wider Schengen zone without a visa for tourism, business, family visits or transit, for stays of up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. No advance authorization is currently mandatory. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) — a roughly EUR 20 online pre-travel permit — has not yet entered into force; the European Commission has confirmed a phased launch in the last quarter of 2026 with a grace period into 2027, so it is not required for travel on 31 May 2026. The Entry/Exit System (EES), an automated biometric border-registration system, is being rolled out and may apply at the border. Travelers should still carry proof of accommodation, return/onward tickets, sufficient funds and travel medical insurance, since border officers can request these. The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date and issued within the last 10 years. Overstaying the 90/180 limit can result in fines and entry bans, so travelers should track their cumulative Schengen days carefully.
