Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit PK?

UAE ordinary passport holders can travel to Pakistan visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days. No visa, eVisa, or Electronic Travel Authorization is required before departure. Emirati (UAE) ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to Pakistan for tourism and business under a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) exemption announced by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 12 September 2024. GCC citizens "are not required to apply for Electronic Travel Authorization or Visa" and can travel to Pakistan "by just purchasing an air ticket" for stays of up to 90 days. This exemption is country-of-citizenship based: it applies to holders of UAE national passports, not to foreign nationals merely residing in the UAE. Importantly, when Pakistan suspended its free Visa-on-Arrival / Visa-Prior-to-Arrival (VPA) program for 126 nationalities effective 1 January 2026 (forcing those travelers onto a paid eVisa), the GCC exemption was explicitly preserved. UAE nationals therefore remain visa-free as of 31 May 2026. Travelers should carry a passport valid at least six months beyond arrival and be ready to show proof of accommodation and onward/return travel. Pakistan is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 short-stay rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route.
