Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit Mexico?
UAE ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Mexico. You can enter visa-free for up to 180 days. No SAE electronic authorization is required for Emirati nationals. As of 30 May 2026, holders of an ordinary United Arab Emirates passport enjoy visa-free entry to Mexico for tourism, business, transit and other non-lucrative purposes for stays of up to 180 days. The Embassy of Mexico in the UAE confirms that "Emirati citizens do not require a visa for traveling to Mexico." Unlike Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian nationals, UAE travelers do NOT need Mexico's Electronic Authorization System (SAE) — they board the plane and present their passport on arrival. At the border the actual stay length is set by the immigration officer and recorded; arrivals by land must complete an FMM/FMME immigration form. You should carry a passport valid for at least 6 months, proof of onward/return travel, and evidence of accommodation and sufficient funds. Working for pay or any remunerated activity is not permitted on this visa-free status; that requires a separate visa from a Mexican consulate. Conditions can tighten with little notice, so reconfirm with an official Mexican source close to your travel date.
