United Arab Emirates to North Macedonia visa requirements

UAE ordinary passport holders can travel to North Macedonia visa-free for short tourist or business stays of less than 90 days within a six-month period. No visa, eVisa, visa-on-arrival, or ETIAS authorization is required. As of 18 June 2026, holders of ordinary United Arab Emirates passports can visit the Republic of North Macedonia without a visa for short tourist or business stays of less than 90 days within a six-month period. Passport Index reported the ordinary/civil-passport expansion as effective from 29 May 2025, following the earlier 2023 UAE-North Macedonia memorandum that covered diplomatic, special, and official passports. North Macedonia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains the official entry-requirements source, while U.S. State Department travel information confirms the practical entry framework: passport validity should extend three months beyond the planned stay, one blank page is required for an entry stamp, and short tourist/business visits under 90 days do not require a tourist visa. North Macedonia is not in the Schengen Area and is not covered by ETIAS, so the Schengen ETIAS launch does not create any pre-travel authorization requirement for this route. Travelers should still carry proof of return or onward travel, accommodation details, sufficient funds, and travel medical insurance. All foreign citizens must register with local police within 48 hours of arrival; hotels normally register guests, but travelers staying in private accommodation should register at the nearest police station with the lodging owner. Failure to register can lead to misdemeanor proceedings, a fine of up to EUR 250, and delayed departure.
