Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit LR?
UAE ordinary passport holders need a visa for Liberia. The most practical route is Liberia's electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA): apply online, pay USD 102.50, and collect the visa at Roberts International Airport, Monrovia. A United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holder is NOT visa-exempt for Liberia (only ECOWAS nationals and a small list of others enter visa-free; UAE appears only under the diplomatic-passport waiver). Since 11 March 2025 the Liberia Immigration Service operates an electronic Visa on Arrival portal (visaonarrival.lis.gov.lr) covering tourism, business, and transit. Travelers complete the online form, upload a passport scan and photo, pay USD 102.50 (non-refundable, Visa/Mastercard), and receive an approval/PDF (often near-instant; apply at least 7 days before travel and no more than 3 months ahead). The visa is then physically issued at Roberts International Airport in Monrovia and is valid for a single entry, with the officer granting either 30 or 90 days of stay at their discretion; the online approval must be used to enter within 3 months. Note: there is a Liberian Consulate General in Dubai, and the official portal advises that travelers in a country with a Liberian mission may be directed to apply at the consulate rather than online, so confirm before flying. Passport must be valid at least 6 months. Best single fit for a short tourist stay is electronic Visa on Arrival.

For guidance only — visa rules change with little notice. Always confirm directly with the destination's embassy or foreign ministry before booking non-refundable travel. Information here applies to ordinary (non-diplomatic) passports unless noted.
