Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit Indonesia?
UAE ordinary passport holders need a Visa on Arrival (VOA) for Indonesia. The fastest route is the e-VOA, applied online before departure for Rp500,000, allowing a 30-day stay, extendable once for another 30 days. United Arab Emirates ordinary passport holders are NOT visa-free for Indonesia. As of 30 May 2026, the UAE remains on Indonesia's Visa on Arrival (VOA) list. Travelers can either obtain the VOA at the immigration counter of an eligible international airport/seaport, or — recommended — apply for the electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) online via Indonesia's official immigration portal (evisa.imigrasi.go.id) before flying. The VOA/e-VOA costs IDR 500,000, is single-entry, permits a 30-day stay, and can be extended once inside Indonesia for a further 30 days (maximum 60 days total). The passport must be valid at least 6 months from arrival with two blank pages. Visitors to Bali must additionally pay the Bali Tourism Levy of IDR 150,000. Indonesia is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen and ETIAS rules do not apply.
