Andorra to Syria visa requirements

Andorran ordinary passport holders need a visa for Syria, obtained as a visa on arrival (VOA) at Damascus or Aleppo international airports and major land borders. There is no working eVisa, and Syrian embassies do not currently issue tourist visas, so the VOA is the only route. The fee is paid in cash USD/EUR on arrival, and a separate prior security pre-approval ("OK to board") may be requested by some airlines. As of mid-2026, under Syria's transitional government, the country operates a visa-on-arrival system for the large majority of nationalities. A short visa-free list exists (Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritania, Serbia and several Arab/North African states), and most EU/EFTA/UK/US passports receive a 30-day VOA. Andorra is not on the visa-free list and is not on the restricted/prior-authorization list (which covers nationalities such as Iran, plus a banned list for Israel). As a European micro-state passport with no special exemption and no listed restriction, an Andorran ordinary passport holder is treated like other Western/European visitors and obtains a visa on arrival at the airport or land border. The fee varies by nationality on a reciprocity basis (typically around US$75 for most Western Europeans, up to higher tiers for others) and must be paid in cash (USD or EUR). The previously announced state eVisa portal (evisa.sy) is not operational, and consulates abroad are not issuing tourist visas. Crucially, any evidence of travel to Israel (stamps, Israeli-Jordan/Israeli-Egypt land crossings) leads to refusal, and Israeli nationals are banned. Because the post-2024 situation changes frequently and airlines sometimes demand pre-approval to board, travelers should confirm with their carrier and consider arranging an "OK to board"/entry pre-approval through a Syrian-based travel agent before departure. Syria remains under "do not travel" advisories from most Western governments, which is a separate but critical consideration.
