🇦🇩Andorra🇰🇵North KoreaAD-KP Andorra to North Korea visa requirements
Andorran ordinary passport holders need a visa for North Korea (DPRK). There is no visa-free, eVisa, ETA, or self-service visa-on-arrival route. In practice, tourism is also not currently available to Andorran passport holders: as of 20 June 2026, specialist operator updates say North Korea remains open only to limited Russian passport-holder arrangements and closed to general international tourism. An Andorran ordinary passport holder must have a visa to enter North Korea. Official government travel advice from the UK, Canada, Australia and France consistently treats DPRK entry as visa-required, and specialist DPRK operators state that all tourists, regardless of citizenship, need a North Korea visa. There is no official eVisa, ETA, visa-free or self-service visa-on-arrival channel for Andorran tourists. When tourism is available, the practical route is to book an approved guided tour through an authorized operator, which coordinates with DPRK-side partners and authorities. The visa is normally issued as a separate paper tourist card handed to the traveller before entry, usually in China or Russia, and retained by DPRK authorities on exit; in limited cases a sticker visa may be issued by a DPRK mission. Independent travel is not permitted: foreign tourists must remain with official guides and travel only on the approved itinerary. Critically, current tourism access is the limiting factor. GOV.UK says North Korea's borders have been closed to general entry since the 2020 COVID restrictions and only limited tourism has restarted. Koryo Tours' 11 June 2026 update says tourism is open only to Russian passport-holders and unavailable to all others, and Young Pioneer Tours' 17 June 2026 update says international tourism remains closed except limited Russian-national arrangements. An Andorran traveller should therefore treat the route as visa-required and currently not practically bookable for tourism until a wider reopening is confirmed by operators and relevant authorities.
