Andorra to Greenland visa requirements

Andorran (AD) ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for a short tourist visit to Greenland. They may stay up to 90 days. Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark but is OUTSIDE the Schengen Area, so a Schengen visa or ETIAS is neither valid nor required; the 90-day allowance for Greenland is counted separately from the Schengen 90/180 limit. Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark but, unlike Denmark proper, it is NOT a member of the European Union and NOT part of the Schengen Area. Consequently, a Schengen visa is not valid for Greenland, and the EU's ETIAS travel authorisation does not apply there. Greenland operates its own entry policy administered by the Danish immigration authority (SIRI / nyidanmark.dk). The governing rule is simple: nationals who may enter Denmark/Schengen without a visa may also enter Greenland without a visa for short stays of up to 90 days. Andorra is a Schengen Annex II visa-exempt microstate, and Andorran citizens are additionally exempt from ETIAS altogether. Therefore an Andorran ordinary passport holder enters Greenland visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days. A valid passport is required (Nordic citizens may use ID cards, but Andorrans must carry a passport). No fee, no application, and no pre-travel authorisation is needed for Greenland itself. Two practical points matter for Andorrans: (1) the only realistic air routes to Greenland transit through Denmark (Copenhagen) or Iceland (Keflavik), both Schengen, where the Schengen 90/180 rule applies to time spent in the Schengen Area; however Andorran citizens are exempt from both ETIAS and EES registration.
