Andorra to United Kingdom visa requirements

Andorran (AD) ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to the UK, but since 2 April 2025 they must obtain a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before travelling. The ETA costs GBP 20, is valid for 2 years (multiple entries, up to 6 months per visit), and is applied for online or via the UK ETA app. Andorra is a non-visa national country for the UK, so Andorran ordinary passport holders can visit for tourism for up to 6 months without a visa. However, the UK rolled out the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) scheme to European nationals from 2 April 2025, and Andorra is explicitly named in the Appendix ETA National List. From that date, an Andorran tourist must hold a valid ETA linked to their passport before boarding to the UK. The ETA is a digital authorisation (no sticker or vignette) costing GBP 20 since 8 April 2026, granting multiple entries over 2 years or until the passport expires, with each stay limited to 6 months for tourism, visiting family/friends, business meetings or short-term study. Applications are made through the official UK ETA mobile app or on GOV.UK, are typically decided within minutes to 3 working days, and the ETA is electronically tied to the passport used. Travellers must use the same passport at the UK border. The ETA does not guarantee entry; the final decision rests with Border Force. The UK is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to UK entry. Andorrans visiting Schengen countries separately remain visa-free under their own rules, and ETIAS for the Schengen area is expected later. Conclusion: ETA required, no visa for short tourist stays.
