Andorra to Bhutan visa requirements

Andorran passport holders need an eVisa to visit Bhutan. Apply online before travel at immi.gov.bt, pay a USD 40 visa fee plus the USD 100 per adult per day Sustainable Development Fee, and keep travel insurance as recommended rather than mandatory. A holder of an ordinary Andorra (AD) passport cannot enter Bhutan visa-free. Bhutan requires visitors to obtain a visa before travelling, with India, Bangladesh and the Maldives handled under separate permit/visa processes and fees. Tourist applications are now submitted through the Bhutan Immigration Services Portal at immi.gov.bt; the older visit.doi.gov.bt portal is closed for new applications and directs applicants to immi.gov.bt. Applicants must create an account, sign the Pledge of Friendship, upload a passport copy and photo, provide arrival/departure dates, and pay both a one-off non-refundable USD 40 visa application fee and the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of USD 100 per adult per day. Applications are reviewed within five working days once submitted. Bhutan Travel's 23 April 2024 announcement withdrew the mandatory travel-insurance requirement for visa processing, although insurance remains recommended. The passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the intended departure date. Andorra is a European microstate and is NOT part of the Schengen area or the EU, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules are irrelevant to this route. The reduced SDF rate of USD 100 per adult per day is scheduled through 31 August 2027. The verdict is firmly "evisa": there is no visa-free, visa-on-arrival, or border-issued channel for Andorran tourists.
